FAQ

Are there any upfront recruitment or contractual costs?

We require an initial deposit of £300, which will be applied as a credit to your first invoice once you have made your first hire. If you decide not to move forward, you will receive a full-refund.

How does the Probation Period work?

Each permanent contract starts with a probation period of up to two months. This ensures adequate time for the candidate and yourself to find out whether the role is the right fit. If both of you are pleased with the results, the contract continues with the standard conditions. If you’re not completely satisfied, you won’t be charged more than the notice period, which is usually up to 2 weeks. You will have a choice of either part ways, or select another expert who might be a better fit and start over a new probation period with the same Terms & Conditions.

What happens if I’m not satisfied with your expert?

We allow you to try up to three experts per position. While we make every effort to ensure that the candidate is the best match, we understand that not everyone will represent a perfect fit for every single job. For this reason, we allow you to try multiple experts for each position before you decide on a candidate with satisfactory results..

How does Duncan Roberts stand out from the crowd?

Many organisations struggle with finding & employing reliable engineers, designers, and other specialties despite the best effort of top regional recruitment agencies hired by those organisations. At Duncan Roberts, we leverage our extensive experience and infrastructure to hand-pick the best talents available worldwide using a combination of a well-established network of genius engineers and a rigorous interviewing process.

So, what happens after I instruct you?

In a standard scenario, candidates will be introduced to you immediately. In the vast majority of the cases, the first candidate we introduce gets the job and passes the probation period with ease. The employment length of an engineer in a standard job is 2.5 years as a mean average. The quality of our screening process and our specialty in the tech field ensures the longevity of all our contracts.

How will your candidates meet our requirements?

Our certified recruiters apply world-class screening & selection methods based on the standards set by A&DC (PSI®), which measure the candidate's communication skills, personality, domain-specific knowledge, and aptitude. Less than 6% of the applicants manage to make it through to the final interview before adding them to our network.

Our process includes a variety of ways to determine skill and proficiency, including portfolio reviews, technical coding challenges, user or market research, business cases, formal assessments, as well as live problem-solving sessions.

We match all candidates with senior domain experts for each and every interview, and all applicants complete a test project to demonstrate live proficiency with a project similar to what they would work on in a typical job.

Will communication with the remote expert be an issue?

Every single expert in our network has an excellent command of Professional English. We conduct a 3-stage interview process to ensure all candidates maintain a high level of proficiency in English and have experience working with global, and precisely European, technical teams. All our experts are equipped with backup Mobile Internet networks and power banks. So, even in the rare event of a local power cut, they will still be connected to the Internet and reachable at all times.
